A new TV show is being shot in Newfoundland, but you won’t see this on local television when it airs.

Take the Shot, a film production company based out of Newfoundland, is working with a Parisian film company on the show Maroni.

It’s a French crime drama which follows a young policewoman whose investigation, in the second season, lands her in Newfoundland and St. Pierre et Miquelon.

Take the Shot producer, Peter Blackie, says a request from an international film company is something new.

He says they’re at the point now where they’re soon be at capacity for production, and for the province, that’s great.
