Gas prices across Canada have begun to slip as the demand for fuel products in China wanes. The price drop is expected to reach this province this week.
Most provinces operate under a free market system in which prices fluctuate more frequently than Newfoundland and Labrador which regulates the industry. The price of fuel products is set every Thursday.
George Murphy of the Consumer Group for Fair Gas Prices expects significant decreases this week, not far off double digits.
