The latest Angus Reid public opinion poll shows that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the minority Liberal government are “bearing the scars….of a bruising start” to 2020.
The results reflect a number of recent controversies including government’s handling of the BC pipeline protests.
The Prime Minister’s approval rating has dropped 10 points in the first few months of the year, sitting at 33 per cent.
The survey also shows that 34 per cent of Canadians would vote for the Conservative Party if an election were held today, compared to 26 per cent who say they’d vote Liberal.
Trudeau’s support remains strongest among Canadians 35 years old and younger.
Angus Reid says the Liberals and Green Party lost the most support from the last survey.
