Market volatility due to COVID-19 means gas prices could see a significant swing this week, however early predictions point to notable savings.
The Consumer Group for Fair Gas prices says the numbers show gas prices dropping by about 7.1 cents a litre, while diesel will ease down by about 5.8 cents.
Heating and stove oils aren’t dodging the trend. They could see a drop of about 5.6 cents a litre on Thursday morning.
The Consumer Group cautions, however, that the final decision is up to the Public Utilities Board. Global market volatility, as well as a drop in oil demand, could greatly shift those numbers by tomorrow morning.
