The Department of Health is warning about a possible scam involving calls related to MCP.
According to government, several incidents have been reported involving a caller who claims to be representing MCP. The caller then tries to get people to provide their personal information such as their MCP and social insurance numbers and mailing address.
The Department of Health says MCP officials do not contact people by phone to confirm personal information.
Anyone who receives a suspicious call is asked to report it immediately to RCMP.
