A 29-year-old from Wareham in Bonavista North has had his vehicle impounded after being caught speeding on the Bonavista North highway.
New-Wes-Valley RCMP pulled over the man’s vehicle near Trinity (Bonavista Bay) around 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
Police got a radar reading of 167 km/h in a 80 km/h zone.
The man’s vehicle was impounded for three days and he received a seven-day licence suspension, in addition to a ticket for speeding more than 51 km/h over the posted speed limit.
