The sun had just begun to rise when police in the capital city halted a frightening incident yesterday morning.

Around 6:30, RNC officers responded to reports of a domestic disturbance in the downtown area.

According to police, the caller reported that her ex-boyfriend was pounding on her door. While officers were en route, she reported that the man had gained entry into her home.

The 38-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with break and enter. He was held pending a court appearance.
