A truck was virtually disintegrated by a fire early this morning near Makinsons.
Members of the Whitbourne Fire Department responded to reports of a truck on fire at the Makinsons parking lot around 6 a.m.
Crews arrived to find a newer model Ford F-150 fully ablaze.
Fire Chief Jamie Budden says the truck sustained “heavy damage”—something he attributes to the newer vehicle’s aluminum frame. By the time the fire was extinguished, the truck’s frame was all but leveled.
There were no reported injuries, and RCMP are currently investigating.
