A home renovator in the metro region says they’re finding a lot more people with snow in their attic this winter.

Glen Spurgeon of Eastern Siding and Windows says it could be because of the amount of snow the region has had, or it could be the wind direction.

He has seen some situations where people discovered a foot of snow in their attic. Spurgeon says it’s a good idea to check on the situation yourself before calling a contractor.

He suggests bringing buckets into your attic to remove the snow, then check it frequently afterward.
