A driver was lucky to have escaped serious injury following an overnight crash on the Outer Ring Road.
Emergency crews responded to the scene of the single-vehicle crash at about 3:45 a.m. The driver of a compact car heading eastbound on the highway lost control and rolled over after striking a snowbank in the median of the road.
The crash occurred just before the Allandale Road exit.
The driver was assessed by paramedics on the scene and did not require transport to hospital.
Roads were wet with large patches of black ice at the time of the incident.
