Then there were two. John Abbott—a former high-ranking bureaucrat—has officially put his name forward for Liberal Leader today in St. John’s.
He made the announcement to a crowded room at the Sheraton Hotel in St. John’s, Thursday morning. Several members of the Liberal caucus were in attendance, including Perry Trimper, John Haggie—who declared interest in hearing both candidates platforms before offering an endorsement—and former Liberal leader Gerry Reid.
