Newfoundland’s Alex Newhook is continuing his stellar rookie season at Boston College with more accolades coming his way.
Newhook was unanimously named the NCAA’s National Player and Rookie of the Month.
He finished the month of February with 9 goals and 11 assists for 20 points.
The last player to receive both honours with Buffalo Sabres first overall draft pick, Jack Eichel back in 2015.
In 32 games this season, Newhook has tallied 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points.
