A musician from this province has been named a finalist in the 2019 International Songwriting Competition.
Mallory Johnson of Conception Bay South has been named a finalist in the country category for “Drunk Mind, Sober Heart”, a song she wrote along with fellow Canadian country artists Tenille Arts & Krystan Bellows.
The song was part of a two song “digital forty five” released by Johnson last fall.
Finalists were chosen from over 18 thousand entries and the winners awards will be announced in late April or early May.
Johnson will begin a provincial tour with multiple CCMA Award winners The Reklaws this month, Starting in Gander on March 17.
