The Newfoundland Distillery Company in Clarke’s Beach is one local company switching gears and manufacturing hand sanitizer.
The company has built a reputation for distilling a variety of spirits including gin.
Now it’s manufacturing hand sanitizer under the name “Fighting Spirit,” and is already distributing the product to some of the front line workers who need it the most.
RCMP are among them. The Mounties offered their thanks to the Newfoundland Distillery Company for delivering the hand sanitizer for distribution to local detachments. They received about 500 litres of Fighting Spirit.
