A number of staff members at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony are under quarantine.
They were determined to be in close contact with a patient who tested positive for COVID-19 on the weekend.
Each of the staff members have been tested for coronavirus and all are being monitored by public health.
Labrador-Grenfell Health CEO, Heather Brown says emergency pandemic plans have been established for each of their facilities.
An assessment and testing centre has opened in the town for which all appointments are referred through the 811 health line, or contact tracing.
