St. John’s City Council has voted unanimously to lift the 2015 moratorium on Adult Massage Parlours.
Last night’s council meeting was conducted in a virtual setting.
The decision means when the city receives a new application it can decide where the parlours can go and what to call them.
But, Mayor Danny Breen says it’s the provincial government that has to lay down regulations surrounding their operation.
He says if the city is going to allow them and they are legal businesses then there should be regulations to govern them.
