A worker in the province’s offshore who was experiencing flu-like symptoms was transferred by medevac to St. John’s this morning.
ExxonMobil notified the C-NLOPB that the person was on the West Aquarius drill rig. ExxonMobil says the likelihood that the worker has COVID-19 appears low based on the information available and the person is in self-isolation.
Those in direct contact onboard the rig have also self-isolated as per protocol, and flights to and from the facility have been suspended until further notice.
