A woman in Harbour Grace was surprised by two unusual visitors while social distancing in her home.
Two bald eagles were spotted in a Water Street resident’s backyard yesterday afternoon.
The woman says the pair perched in her backyard for a period of time. She jokes that they were her first visitors in a while.
Newfoundland has one of the highest populations of bald eagles in northeastern North America, with an estimated population of about 300 to 600 eagle pairs in the province, according to the provincial government.
