Labrador Marine has had more than its share of challenges this spring with a double whammy of ice and COVID-19.
They resumed daily service between Blanc Sablon and St. Barbe on Sunday for the first time in six weeks. Ice forced the service to use the Port of Corner Brook, making 11 round trips over the past six weeks.
Company president Peter Woodward says the service is for essential travel only, and they are enforcing it. Customers are being screened during the booking call and again at the boarding point. Passenger volume has been restricted to 53 people.
