St. John’s City Council has voted in favour of a new daycare centre in Southlands.
Teddy Bear Daycare has applied to city council to operate such a facility on Cheeseman Drive.
The application had drawn concern from residents in the area, many (40) in support who say the facility is needed, and some (18) who are worried about noise and traffic.
Coucillor Wally Collins has requested that the speed limit be reduced in the area and speed bumps be implemented.
