Students and recent graduates can begin applying on Friday for the Canada Emergency Student Benefit.
That program was announced a couple of weeks ago and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau released further details today. Applications go through the CRA website.
According to the Government of Canada, the benefit provides $1,250 per four-week period, or $2,000 if you have dependents or a disability.
You cannot apply if you’ve already applied for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) or for EI.

Meanwhile, Trudeau also announced money for the regional diversification funds, including ACOA.
ACOA has launched the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund to help small and medium-size businesses. A total of $110-million will be available for Atlantic Canadian businesses.
