The St. John’s Board of Trade and several sponsors have launched a “local Amazon” to support businesses in the province.
The website directs visitors to over 50 businesses in the province who have their stores set up for online purchasing.

Wadden says many businesses who were forced to close their physical locations due to the pandemic are still operating their business virtually.
Partners in the initiative include Downtown St. John’s, the Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, City of Mount Pearl and Town of Torbay.
