There have been some 2,600 approved exemptions to the travel ban over the last two weeks.
Wednesday marked nine weeks since the Public Health State of Emergency came into effect.
Premier Dwight Ball says amendments to Bill 38 were made to find a balance between the law and the measures needed to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The travel ban came into effect two weeks ago.

Ball says when approval is granted, people entering the province must have 14-day isolation plans in place along with a mandatory declaration form.
Since May 4th, Ball says there have been 2,600 approvals, about 214 denials, and 67 re-considered.
The Premier says the province has good, strong measures in place, and the last thing they want to do is compromise progress.
