Work is underway to resume family visitation for children and young people in care.

Family visitations were suspended due to COVID-19.

The Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development says it is making plans specific to each family situation to prepare for the eventual reinstatement of in-person family visits when it is safe to do so.

All plans are dependent on the directives of the Chief Medical Officer of Health to ensure safety.
