A national organization is challenging Canadians to turn off all digital devices for 24 hours to raise awareness about vision loss and give their eyes a break.
Fight Blindness Canada is officially launching #ScreensOffForSight at 6 p.m. this evening.
According to Stats Canada, screen time has gone up 70 per cent during the COVID-19 pandemic, which ophthalmologists say can lead to red eyes, watery eyes, eye fatigue, difficulty focusing and headaches.
Registration is open and can be found on Fighting Blindness Canada’s social media platforms.
Join in tomorrow starting at 6 p.m. ET! #ScreensOffforSight #WhyEyeCare https://t.co/UQAgyw7mcx
