Quebec removed its checkpoints at the Labrador border yesterday, but they remain on the Labrador side.

Premier Dwight Ball says Quebec is in a much different situation than this province.

He says the Quebec Lower North Shore and the area bordering Labrador West are not experiencing the same situation as the rest of Quebec.

He says they’ll ensure all decisions will be based on the advice of the public health department to protect residents as best they can.

Ball says they’re working with the RNC and community leaders and will be speaking to both throughout the week to ensure they’re all on the same page.
