A Tory MHA believes a new and higher standard can be set when it comes to government’s handling of information.
The MHA for Harbour Main and Opposition Justice Critic, Helen Conway-Ottenheimer, is speaking out following the release of a report from the Privacy Commissioner into how records surrounding the hire of Carla Foote were handled, hidden and destroyed.
Conway-Ottenheimer says politicians as a whole need to set their goals higher and have more transparency.

She says MHAs are there to serve fellow citizens and do that with integrity to, hopefully, improve lives – which she says is part of their Oath of Office.
Conway-Ottenheimer believes making this change and implementing a higher standard is possible and is what they need to strive for in the House of Assembly.
