A 26-year-old man is dead after the pickup he was in left the road and ended up in the water near Seaview Drive in Swift Current.
Clarenville RCMP received a call about a pickup submerged in the water shortly after 9:00 this morning.
RCMP from Clarenville and the Burin Peninsula detachments, the Swift Current Fire Department, Fewer’s Ambulance and a local tow truck operator all came out to assist, and upright and remove the truck from the water.
The young man, the lone occupant in the truck, was found inside the cab.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is helping in the investigation.
