There were no injuries after fire destroyed a home in Hickman’s Harbour, Random Island Monday evening.
Two people, a woman and her adult son, were displaced by the calamity on West Side Road.
The Canadian Red Cross is providing the pair with financial help for emergency purposes. The man and woman are staying with relatives for the time being.
The Red Cross says support was arranged by phone and e-transfer due to social distancing practices in place.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
