The provincial government has decided to keep a police presence on the Labrador-Quebec border.
The provincial travel ban imposed at the end of April prevents non-residents from crossing into Labrador from Quebec—with certain exceptions.
Premier Dwight Ball says he spoke with community leaders in Labrador earlier this week and they’ve all agreed on the importance of having a presence at the borders.
He says the RNC will be back at all entry points to Labrador, including ferries and airports, on a 24-hour basis with support from the public health department.
