Reduced occupancy, staggered hours of operation, assigned entrances and exits and one-way directional traffic are the new norm as the province marks the shift to Alert Level 3.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald congratulated Newfoundlanders and Labradorians for doing their part and adhering to public health directives to help halt the spread of COVID-19.
However, that doesn’t mean it’s business as usual.
She says many businesses are still offering online shopping and curbside pickup.
And she encourages shoppers to use that option when possible to help reduce the number of people “out and about at any given time.”
The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador remains at 261, with two active cases left in the province.
