The Mayor of St. John’s is asking kids: “What do you love about your neighborhood?”
Mayor Danny Breen is launching a creative arts contest to be promoted over the city’s social media platforms.
Participants are encouraged to think creatively about their city and respond by posting pictures or videos to the city’s pages for a chance to win a prize.
Breen suggests getting creative by using different items like pictures, building with blocks, chalk images and recyclables.
Prizes will involve fun family activities for the summer.
The contest ends on June 21. Breen says it will kick off St. John’s Day celebrations.
“What do you love about your neighbourhood?”
Children of St. John’s are encouraged to create pictures, images or videos showing what their neigbourhood or community means to them.
