An 18-year-old man from Springdale is facing a long list of charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of a vehicle-pedestrian collision.
According to RCMP, a driver struck a pedestrian with his truck in South Brook yesterday afternoon. It’s accused that he then threatened the victim before leaving the scene. The 20-year-old victim was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
Police set out to locate the suspect truck, issuing a public request for assistance. Last night, 18-year-old Brady Penney was taken into custody.
He was charged with several offenses for dangerous driving causing bodily harm, failing to stop after an accident, three counts of breaching release conditions, and uttering threats.
On top of that, he was ticketed for driving an unregistered vehicle, as well as driving without a licence and insurance.
Penney will appear before the judge, today.
