While travel restrictions are limited to the Atlantic Bubble, Marine Atlantic says they are accepting reservations from licence plates from outside the province.
People continue to see plates from outside the bubble from places like Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec.
Tara Laing, Manager, Corporate Communications at Marine Atlantic says their role as a transportation carrier is to focus on carrying people safely, while the provinces are responsible for identifying who is allowed to come in and who is not.

She says they don’t want their customers to come to the province and then be told after arrival that they can’t enter. Laing says the information is on their website and they provide customers with all the information that the province is requiring before they book or arrive.
The disconnect between government and travel into the province is raising concerns that there are not enough safeguards in place to monitor who is coming through.
