The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District has released more information on riding the bus for the upcoming school year.
When waiting for the bus, students must stand two arms distances apart and wait for their bus driver to wave them onto the bus when it arrives.
As they enter, students must sit in their assigned seat. The assigned seats will be chosen based on order of stops with the exception of Kindergarten and first grade students who will be seated in the front seats. Students from the same household will be told to sit together where possible.
Their masks should be worn at all times while riding on the bus.

Students will be asked to refrain from touching seats and windows and they must leave their windows open until the bus driver tells them any different.
The bus driver will wear PPE or have a physical barrier around their seat. Students will not be assigned to the seats directly behind the driver.
Disinfecting will take place between double and triple runs along with at the end of the day set up not to interrupt current bus schedules. The driver will also keep a log of when they do their cleaning.
The NLESD is asking all families to go over the complete guidelines which can be found here.
