A 26-year-old man from Halfway Point is facing a number of charges following a startling incident on the west coast earlier this month.
According to RNC, a man broke into a home in Corner Brook’s west-end in the early hours of August 23 and assaulted one of the house’s occupants.
The man, who was known to the victim, fled the scene before police arrived.
Yesterday, the 26-year-old man was located by officers and charged in connection with the violent incident.
He was released from custody on conditions to stay away from the victim, and have no contact with them.
