Police are investigating reports of one man pointing a gun at another in the Southlands area of St. John’s Tuesday night.
RNC officers responded to an area near the Southlands Community Centre around 8:30 p.m. They were told that a man had pointed a firearm at another man following a disruption in traffic, though they stopped short of calling it road rage.
The suspect was initially driving a black Toyota Camry but left the area and returned in a red, full-size pickup, at which point it’s alleged he drew the gun. He was last seen headed toward Cheeseman Drive.
The suspect is described as caucasian, about six feet tall, medium build and in his 40s with balding grey hair and stubble on his face. He was wearing black shorts and a grey or navy T-shirt at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information, including surveillance video or dashcam footage, is asked to contact the RNC or Crimestoppers.
