The Mayor of Wabana says the ferry service continues to be troublesome for Bell Island residents.
Mayor Gary Gosine says there was a malfunction on the ferry on Sunday after its first run.
He says the parts to make the repair were available but they were waiting on a bid for a company to get the go-ahead to fix it.
Gosine says some people used their own form of transportation to get across the bay and others stayed in their RVs all night in the line-up.

He says in one scenario, a parent took his wife and young daughter across in an open boat to go back-to-school shopping while another person took their boat across to get a part for their truck.
The Legionnaire has been down since Sunday evening due to mechanical issues.
