The future of the province’s offshore oil and gas industry was front and centre as the House of Assembly opened today.
Opposition Leader Ches Crosbie was quick to his feet to table the PC’s Action Plan for Jobs in the Offshore and questioned Energy Minister Andrew Parsons on the same.
He asked for the Furey government to table its jobs plan for the offshore. Minister Parsons responded that had Crosbie been doing a school project, he would have been called out for plagiarism. Parsons says most of the PC plan is a re-hashing of everything the previous minister had already done. He tabled the Liberals’ Way Forward on Oil and Gas in response.
