While the return to school has been stressful for many families, a Bay Roberts woman found it particularly stressful yesterday morning when she discovered a surprise stowaway while driving her son to school.

Stephanie Short-Dawe says they were startled by what appears to be a weasel hiding in the hood of her vehicle.

She pulled out her phone and started filming as the curious critter starts snooping around.

The weasel doesn’t make it far before it starts slipping down the rain-slicked hood. After a brief battle with gravity, the weasel slides to the ground, much to the relief of the van’s occupants.
