A person of interest is now in custody after two students were killed and nine were injured in a shooting at a university in Rhode Island.
Authorities say it happened in the engineering building at Brown University in Providence on the second day of final exams.
The man who is in custody is said to be in his thirties.
The shelter-in-place has been lifted.
The shooting took place at the Barus & Holley building, a seven-storey complex that houses the university’s School of Engineering and physics department.
