A recent survey shows that the majority of Canadians are happy in their current neighbourhood and are actually doing more to support it.
A recent Leger survey conducted on behalf of RE/MAX found that nearly 80 per cent of those asked are happy with their community, while 86 per cent are making more of an effort to support local businesses than they did prior to COVID-19.
In fact, about 47 per cent of those asked would like to see more local businesses open in their neighbourhoods after spending more time at home.
RE/MAX Ultimate Realty Inc. broker and owner Tim Syrianos believes that with more time at home, people have been able to reflect on the kind of lifestyle they want, impacting livability.
He says people want more space, and access to local stores.
