The spirit of generosity was evident today as people came together to raise over $135,000 in support of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation Radiothon with VOCM Cares.
The fundraiser hit the airwaves on 740 VOCM this afternoon, raising money for a number of health care projects at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, US Memorial in St. Lawrence, and Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank.
By the time the radiothon came to an end, the donations totaled over $135,800.
The foundation says some of their priority projects include mental health and addictions, patient and comfort care programs, their COVID-19 response fund, chemotherapy, dialysis, and more.
