There will be a major traffic slowdown and diversion in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s starting today.
The Tolt Road Reconstruction Sewer Project is going to start today with the first phase—expected to be completed by December 11.
The section of Tolt Road from Thorburn Road to Skinners Road will be closed during this time except for local traffic. The partial closure will accommodate the installation of sewer infrastructure.
With a portion of Tolt Road accessible only to local traffic, and the rest of Tolt Road at times down to one lane, residents are advised to seek alternate routes and avoid Tolt Road if possible.
The English School District has revised the bus routes for students from the area who attend Beachy Cove Elementary, Brookside Intermediate, and Prince of Wales Collegiate.
Please be advised our Tolt Road Reconstruction and Sewer Project will commence on Thursday, October 1st. The section of Tolt Rd from Thorburn Rd to Skinners Rd will be closed during this project, except to local traffic.
