There will be a Santa Claus parade in St. John’s this year, but it will be at a different time and place and with restrictions and limitations.

The parade normally winds its way through downtown on the last Sunday in November. However, this year organizers hope to move it to Saturday, November 28.

Gaylynne Gulliuver of Downtown St. John’s says the event will be smaller than in previous years because of COVID-19.

The parade will, most likely, be staged on Harbour Drive because of the width of the street and people will drive past.
