Public health guidance related to COVID-19 symptoms will become a bit more stringent beginning next week.
There were no new cases of the novel coronavirus announced in the province today. The province continues to have four active cases.
Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald announced at today’s COVID-19 briefing that effective as of Monday, those with one of the following symptoms—either fever or new or worsening cough—will meet the requirements to get tested.
For all other symptoms—such as headaches, sore throat, unexplained loss of appetite or fatigue—the two-symptom requirement will remain in place.
