RCMP say there is nothing new to report in their ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding a sudden death in Trepassey last week.

There was a large police presence in the community for days following the man’s passing.

Police will only say the death involved “suspicious circumstances,” but to now have been relatively tight-lipped about the nature of the investigation and the cause of death.

RCMP have said there is no known risk to the public.
