A woman who was out walking her dog is cautioning people after a frightening incident in which a hunter aimed his gun in her direction.
Chantel Piercey was on a pole line in the Goulds when a hunter stepped from the woods and confronted her. She says the dog was under control the entire time, and that she is at a loss to understand why the hunter acted so aggressively.
Piercey, who walks the area frequently, has never had trouble with any hunter before.
She had to pass by him a second time on the way out and again he acted out of sorts but this time, he pointed the gun to the ground instead of at Piercey and her dog.
The hunter told her that he was nervous, which she found puzzling as he was the one with the gun and she was unarmed.
She finds it alarming, especially that he didn’t blink an eye at what he was doing.
