As holiday shopping ramps up, health officials admit they are concerned about an influx of people heading to the stores.
However, the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald, says as long as we keep the basic public health guidelines that have been hammered home since March in mind, we should be able to keep COVID at bay.
She says to remember the importance of physical distancing. If you are in a store, and you feel there are too many people to maintain a safe distance, you should leave. As well, she recommends online shopping as a good alternative.
