The Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador has denied an emergency injunction by Weston Foods Canada to stop secondary picketing at Weston’s Bakery in Mount Pearl.
This is the second time such an injunction was denied by the courts in the last week. The first request by the company was denied on Tuesday.
Yesterday, police were back at the picket line after receiving reports that delivery trucks were being blocked from exiting the premises.
The union contends that no trucks tried to leave the parking lot all night, and only left the loading dock after police arrived. They are questioning the RNC’s motives in the situation.
The striking workers complied, and let the trucks through.
